The AI orchestration of your wildest imagination.
n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve:
- Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders
- Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects
- Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation
That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register.
We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
Your main goal will be to make building with n8n feel simple, powerful, and intuitive at every level, helping first-time users get to value quickly while enabling experienced builders to confidently create and run sophisticated workflows in production.
To do so, you’ll own high-impact product areas across n8n’s Experience: from identifying the biggest builder problems to shaping strategy, shipping solutions, and continuously improving them based on real usage:
MAKE THE CORE BUILDING EXPERIENCE EXCEPTIONAL
- Identify and solve the highest-leverage problems across the workflow-building journey, making n8n easier to understand, faster to use, and more powerful as workflows grow in complexity.
- Turn technically complex capabilities into polished, intuitive product experiences through close collaboration with Design and Engineering.
- Continuously improve how users create, configure, debug, and evolve workflows, with a high bar for usability, performance, and reliability.
REDUCE FRICTION FROM FIRST WORKFLOW TO PRODUCTION
- Find opportunities to dramatically shorten the path from an idea to a working workflow, particularly around setup, configuration, connectivity, and access to external services.
- Shape experiences that make capabilities such as AI models, web search, integrations, and other services immediately useful while handling underlying complexity elegantly.
- Balance simplicity with transparency and control so streamlined experiences continue to work for advanced, business-critical, and production use cases.
SHAPE THE FOUNDATIONS OF A POWERFUL BUILDER PLATFORM
- Define product experiences and platform capabilities that make n8n flexible and extensible without exposing unnecessary complexity to users.
- Improve how builders interact with integrations, data, credentials, schemas, reusable capabilities, and emerging standards such as MCP.
- Partner with Engineering and developer-facing teams to ensure the product scales across an expanding ecosystem of services, use cases, and technical users.
DRIVE PRODUCT OUTCOMES THROUGH DISCOVERY, DATA, AND LEADERSHIP
- Engage deeply with customers, community members, and internal teams to understand real workflows, pain points, and opportunities across the builder experience.
- Define clear product bets, success metrics, and priorities, combining quantitative evidence with strong product judgment and fast learning loops.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Data, DevRel, Docs, PMM, Support, and Customer Success through clear decisions, strong communication, and ownership of outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST-HAVES
- Proven product management experience: You’ve shipped impactful software products in fast-moving environments and can clearly explain the outcomes, decisions, and tradeoffs you owned.
- Builder mindset: You’re entrepreneurial and hands-on, and you enjoy moving from an ambiguous problem to a prototype, shipped product, and iteration quickly.
- Excellent product & UX judgment: You’re known for simplifying complexity and have a strong instinct for what makes technical products intuitive, polished, and enjoyable to use.
- Technical fluency: You’re comfortable reasoning about APIs, integrations, authentication, schemas, data flows, and system constraints and can partner deeply with engineers.
- Strong product discovery skills: You get close to users, uncover the underlying problem behind feature requests, validate assumptions, and turn insights into focused product decisions.
- Data fluency: You can define meaningful success metrics, investigate product behaviour and funnels, and combine quantitative evidence with qualitative insight and product intuition
- AI-native product thinking: You actively use modern AI tools in your own work and understand the opportunities and product challenges created by AI-powered experiences.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Developer product experience: You’ve built products for technical users and understand what great developer and builder experiences look like.
- Integrations experience: You’ve worked on products involving third-party APIs, authentication, developer platforms, or integration ecosystems.
- Community or open-source experience: You’ve built products alongside developer communities, contributors, or external ecosystems.
- AI product experience: You’ve worked with LLMs, agents, model providers, evaluations, or other AI platform capabilities and understand their unique product tradeoffs.
- Experimentation experience: You know how to use prototypes, experiments, and incremental releases to learn quickly without adding unnecessary proce…
